Every individual should be able to partake in the community. Integration in the community leads to positive changes in self-esteem. This self-confidence is seen in the workplace and in other aspects of participant’s lives.
Community involvement has included:
* classes
* sports
* movies
* tours
* dinner
* shopping
* walks

However, the important part is the TIME that you spend with the individual, NOT what you do. Results can be achieved going to the grocery store or getting your car washed. It is the FRIENDSHIP that develops between you that makes a difference. Mentors are vital for the ACE Program to be effective. The opportunity is on-going. We accept volunteers anytime throughout the year. The days & times are flexible. We do ask for a 1 year time commitment
